Using a VCR with DISH Network:


Please make sure your VCR is connected to your TV as follows:

For TV1:
  1. Make sure a coaxial cable is connected from a jack labeled "TV 3-4 OUT" on your DISH Network receiver, to a jack labeled "ANT IN" on your VCR.
  2. Make sure a coaxial cable is connected from a jack labeled "TV OUT" on your VCR, to the jack labeled "ANT" or "CATV" on the TV set.
For TV2:
  1. Make sure a coaxial cable is connected from the wall jack to a jack labeled "ANT IN" on your VCR.
  2. Make sure a coaxial cable is connected from a jack labeled "TV OUT" on your VCR, to the jack labeled "ANT" or "CATV" on the TV set.
Please Note: The directions below assume that your VCR is connected as described above. If your VCR is connected differently and you are having trouble playing or recording, contact your DISH Network installer for instructions.



To Play/Record with your VCR:


For TV1:
  • To play a tape from your VCR, press the POWER button on your VCR, make sure your TV is set to the TV Channel 3-or- 4, then press the Play button on your VCR.
  • To record a program on your VCR, the press the POWER button on your VCR, make sure your TV and VCR are set to the TV Channel 3-or- 4, then press the Record button on your VCR.
  • NOTE: If your TV is set to a TV Channel other than 3 or 4 to view DISH network programming, make sure to set the TV and VCR to the correct TV Channel or Input.
  • Press the POWER button on your VCR again to turn off your VCR and return to satellite programming.
For TV2:
  • To play a tape from your VCR, press the POWER button on your VCR, make sure your TV is set to the TV Channel 60-or- 73, then press the Play button on your VCR.
  • To record a program on your VCR, the press the POWER button on your VCR, make sure your TV and VCR are set to the TV Channel 60-or- 73, then press the Record button on your VCR.
  • NOTE: If your TV is set to a TV Channel other than 60 or 73 to view DISH network programming, make sure to set the TV and VCR to the correct TV Channel or Input.
  • Press the POWER button on your VCR again to turn off your VCR and return to satellite programming.
