Not Operating Receiver |

1.
Make sure you are using your DISH Network remote control.
|
2.If you have more than one satellite receiver in your home, make sure you are using the correct
DISH Network remote for that receiver. |
3.
Press the SAT button on the top
of your remote control. The SAT button
should glow red briefly. If it doesn't glow, install new batteries in the remote and try again.
|
4.
Make sure the batteries are correctly installed in the remote. |
5.
Take the TV2 remote to TV1. Using the TV2 remote, press the big red POWER button at the top of the remote.
- If the POWER button on your TV2 remote turns the blue light on
the receiver on and off, call your service provider to extend the receiver remote antenna.
- If not, take the TV2 remote back to TV2, and continue with Step Six below. |
6.
Make sure that your second TV is set to the correct channel - this is usually Channel 60 or Channel 73
for TV2 on a two-TV receiver. |
7.
Using the remote that came with your TV, change the channel on your TV to Channel 60, then try Channel 73.
- If the TV will change to Channel 73, the TV is set up for CABLE. Leave this TV on Channel 73.
- If the TV will not change to Channel 73, the TV is set up for AIR. Change the TV channel back to Channel 60.

8. Go to your first television (where the DISH Network receiver is located), and use the TV1 remote.

|
9. Using your TV1 remote, press the MENU button, then press number 6 (for "System Setup"),
then press number 1 (for "Installation"),
then press number 5 (for "Modulator Setup").

10. From this screen, under the heading for "TV 2 Out", please note the channel number, and the option for AIR or CABLE.
|
|
11. If your TV2 went to channel 73 in Step Eight, but on this screen,
the Mode setting is set to AIR, use the Left blue arrow button on your remote to move the purple cursor to the "Mode" setting.
Then, use the blue Up-or-Down arrow buttons to move the purple cursor next to the setting marked "CABLE".

12. Using the Left-and-Right blue arrow buttons, move the cursor to DONE and press the SELECT button.
|
|
13. Press the CANCEL button several times -
as many times as it takes to get back to a TV Picture.
|
14. Go back
to TV2, and using the remote that came with your TV, change the TV to the channel specified in Step Eleven (either Channel 60 or 73). |
15. Using your DISH Network remote
for TV2, try to change channels, or try pressing the Guide button. |

Remote Still
Not Operating Receiver
(Do not allow more than 20 seconds to elapse while performing Steps Six through Nine.) |
1. Take your TV2 remote and go to TV1 (where the DISH Network receiver is located). Make sure your TV is turned on and receiving a satellite picture. |

2. Using your TV1 remote, press the SAT button
(it should glow red briefly) to put the remote in Satellite Mode.
|
3. Press the MENU button, then press Number
6 (for "System Setup"), then press Number 1 (for "Installation"),
then press Number 3 (for "System Info"). |
4. The current Remote Control address for TV2 is listed on this screen. Write this number down, and save it to use in Step Seven. |
5. Using
your TV2 remote, press and hold the SAT button until
all four of the buttons at the top of your remote glow red, then release the SAT button. |
6. Enter the number you wrote down from Step Four - this must be a two-digit number(such as 01 or 15), and press the # button (the pound button) . |
7. The SAT button on your remote should blink red three times. |
8. On your TV1 remote, press the CANCEL button several times -
as many times as it takes to get back to a TV Picture. |
9. Using
your TV2 remote, press the big red POWER button at the top
of the remote - you may have to press the button a few times. |
10. If the blue light on the receiver turns on and off
when you press the POWER button, take the remote back to TV2, and try to use the remote normally. |
11. If the blue light on the receiver does not turn on and off
when you press the POWER button, unplug the power cord for your receiver from the electrical outlet, and wait fifteen (15) seconds. |
12. Plug the receiver's power cord back into the electrical outlet. If your TV remote still does not operate TV2,
contact Tech Support for your service provider (Blue Sky Satellite) or Dish Network.
