Remote Control Problems:

The Remote is not Operating the Receiver:

1. Make sure you are using your DISH Network remote control.

2. Make sure your TV set is on the correct channel (usually Channel 3 or 4 for a single receiver, or a TV/video input if your receiver is connected using Red-White-Yellow cables).

3. Make sure your remote is in SAT mode to control the satellite channels.
Press and release the SAT button on your remote, the SAT button should glow red briefly. If it doesn't glow, install new batteries in the remote.

5. If you have more than one satellite receiver in your home, make sure you're using the correct DISH Network remote for that box.

6. Make sure that fresh batteries are correctly installed in the remote.

7. Make sure there is nothing blocking the view between your remote and the receiver's front panel.
