Remote Control Problems:
 
Problem: My remote control doesn't change the Satellite channels.

Solution: Identify what type of remote control you have, see below for solutions.

 

Begin Here:
Is your remote control black or silver? 
  • Black remote controls are for receivers that DO NOT have special functions like Hi-Def or DVR (digital video recording).
  • Silver remote controls for receivers that have functions like Hi-Def or DVR.

Does your remote have a Green 1 or Blue 2 at the bottom of the remote?

  • Green number 1 remotes are for your first TV (also known as TV1) for Dual receivers - such as a 322, 522, 622, 625.
  • Blue number 2 remotes are for your second TV (also known as TV2) for Dual receivers.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • Infra-Red (IR) remotes need to be pointed at the TV or Receiver to work. Make sure there are no obstructions.
    •  
  • Radio Frequency (RF) remotes have to be within range of the receiver's Remote Antenna. Long distances of 100 feet or more, or many walls between the remote and the receiver, may reduce the range.
