Remote Control Problems:

Problem: My remote control changes channels on more than one TV at a time.

Solution: Change the Remote Address for your remote control.

Before starting, you will need to isolate the receiver that you are not working on. Unplug the power cord (to the electrical outlet) for receiver that you're not working on while performing this procedure.

NOTE: Do not allow more than 20 seconds to elapse between each step while performing steps Four through eight.

1. Make sure your TV is turned on.

2. On your DISH Network remote control, press the MENU button two times. If the "System Info" screen is displayed, go to Step Three. If not, see below.

     - If there is a "System Info" button on the front of your receiver, press it once,       and go to Step Three. If not, see the next tip.
     - On the front of your receiver, press the POWER button once. Then, press       and hold the  UP Arrow   button for two (2) seconds. The "System Info" screen       should appear on your TV screen.

3. The current Primary Remote Address is shown on this screen. This is a two-digit number, such as 01 or 04 - please write this number down.

4. Using your DISH Network remote, press and hold the SAT button until all four of the buttons at the top of the remote glow red briefly. Release the SAT button after the four top buttons flash red.

5. Enter a two-digit number between 02 and 15 that is different from the address of your primary remote - this is the number you wrote down in Step Three. If you'd like to use a number between 2 and 9, enter a 0 in front of the number.

6. Press the # button (the pound button) on your remote control. The SAT button should blink red three times. Press the RECORD button on the remote, and the "System Info" screen should update to show the new Remote Address.

7. Press the blue CANCEL button on the remote several times, until you see a regular TV picture.

8. Press the big red POWER button two times (either on your remote or on the receiver) to turn the receiver off, then back on again.

9. Go back to your other DISH Network receiver, and plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. After you see the "Acquiring Satellite Signal" and the "Downloading Program Guide" screens, try to use your remote to control the TV.
