Problem: There is no sound on my DISH Network programming.
Solution: Restore the sound by following the steps below. |
1.
Make sure your TV is not Muted, and that the volume on your TV is turned up. |
2.
If you're using a Recordable Receiver - also called a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) or PVR (Personal Video Recorder) - if the sound
doesn't play during playback of a recorded program, press the "Skip Back" button on your remote control once or twice to replay
the same part of the recorded program. If this doesn't solve the problem, or if you aren't using a Recordable Receiver, continue to next step. |

If you're still not hearing sound from your DISH Network programming:
|
1.
Make sure the TV is set to the correct channel to watch DISH Network:
- For TVs controlled by a remote control with a green TV1 on the bottom of
the remote, this is either Channel 3 or Channel 4.
- For TVs controlled by a remote control with a blue TV2 on the bottom of
the remote, this is either Channel 60 or Channel 73. |
2.
Make sure that all Audio/Video cables are properly connected from the DISH Network receiver to the TV that is controlled by the green TV1 remote.
These may be cables such as Coaxial cable, RCA cables (red, white, and yellow), or optical cables. |
3.
Make sure all Audio/Video cables are not broken or frayed, and that all connections to the receiver and TV are tightly secured. |
4.
If you have a seperate sound system, such as Dolby Surround Sound, make sure your sound system equipment and speakers
are powered on and connected to the DISH Network receiver. |
